The Swiss Performance Index (SPI) continued its upward trajectory Tuesday, climbing 1.08 percent to reach 18,157.86 points at 3:39 PM local time. The total market capitalization of the companies included in the index stands at 2.420 billion euros.
The SPI began the trading day with a 1.27 percent increase, opening at 18,192.57 points, compared to the previous day’s close of 17,964.17 points. Throughout the day, the index reached a high of 18,290.66 points and a low of 18,067.47 points.
Looking back, the SPI stood at 18,691.34 points on February 10, 2026, and at 17,761.37 points three months prior, on December 10, 2025. A year ago, on March 10, 2025, the SPI was valued at 17,142.95 points. Year-to-date in 2026, the index has experienced a loss of 0.463 percent. The highest point reached this year was 19,309.93 points, whereas the lowest was 17,574.72 points.
Among the SPI’s gainers, Gurit led with a significant increase of 19.62 percent, closing at 31.40 CHF. Sensirion followed with a 15.41 percent rise to 57.30 CHF, while Kuros Biosciences increased by 9.48 percent to 29.10 CHF. Idorsia and Sonova also saw gains, rising 9.25 percent to 3.96 CHF and 7.00 percent to 203.30 CHF, respectively.
Conversely, Lindt experienced the largest decline, falling 10.45 percent to 10,880.00 CHF. Another Lindt share decreased by 8.33 percent to 112,200.00 CHF. Zueblin Immobilien, Barry Callebaut, and Arbonia also faced downward pressure, decreasing by 5.83 percent to 45.20 CHF, 3.67 percent to 1,363.00 CHF, and 3.58 percent to 4.32 CHF, respectively.
UBS currently has the highest trading volume of any SPI stock, with 3,084,452 shares traded via SIX. Roche boasts the highest market capitalization within the SPI, valued at 302.699 billion euros.
According to FactSet estimates, Evolva currently has the lowest price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio in the SPI, at 0.36. Kudelski is projected to have the highest dividend yield in the index for 2026, at 79.95 percent, also according to FactSet estimates.
