Splinter Chabot ripped off for a ton

Splinter Chabot has been scammed out of €100,000 by a contractor who left with no luck. The presenter and writer said this on Sunday in the TV program Ivo op Zondag. The item on the occasion of Book Week was recorded two weeks ago, when Bart Chabot’s son celebrated his birthday.

“I bought a house in Amsterdam and was incredibly ripped off by the contractor, who disappeared and left and took a lot of money with him,” says Splinter. For that reason, he and his brother Storm, with whom he would move into the house, are living with his parents again for a while. “I always want to deal with setbacks positively. So I instructed my friends not to celebrate my birthday today, but to have a bankruptcy party. With cocktails and champagne. A bit Titanic, we are going down with level.”

Splinter adds that “the contractor ripped me off quite well. The whole house is not finished, you cannot live there. He stole a ton, that’s a lot of money. Everything he has done must be demolished.”

The Chabot family is central this week during Book Week. Father Bart, his wife and sons jointly wrote the book week gift. On the occasion of Book Week, the Hague family will visit twenty bookstores and theaters this week for lectures, interviews and signing sessions. Anyone who buys 15 euros worth of books this week will receive the book from the Chabot family as a gift.
