Contrary to tendentious representations, Vienna Energy Sales is economically stable
Vienna (OTS/SPW) – SPÖ club chairman Josef Taucher responded today, Saturday, with sharp criticism of the statements made by ÖVP club chairman Wölbitsch and FPÖ city councilor Nepp: “As has already been known since the publication of Wien Energie’s annual balance sheet, Wien Energie had to sales in the 2021 financial year/ 22 recorded significant losses in their end customer business. However, the massive price increases and distortions on the energy market were not passed on to the end consumers in the interests of the Viennese,” explains SPÖ Vienna club chairman Josef Taucher. Wien Energie’s sales subsidiary, Wien Energie Vertriebs GmbH & Co KG, is economically stable and has a positive outlook for the 2022/23 financial year and beyond.
“While the ÖVP-led federal government is failing the population, the Vienna city government is working with all the means at its disposal to combat the effects of inflation. This also includes keeping the high energy prices for the Viennese as low as possible,” said club chairman Josef Taucher.
