Paris: Kylian Mbabane has revealed that English club Liverpool were among the clubs he discussed with before the French club renewed their contract with PSG. Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has previously announced his intention to sign Mbabane.
” We talked, but it didn’t last long. Because this is my mom’s favorite club, my mom loves Liverpool so much. I do not know why, I have to ask my mother. Liverpool are a great club. We talked five years ago. That was when I was in Monaco. But this time the match was between Real Madrid and PSG, “said Mbabane in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.
On May 23, PSG announced that its contract with Mbabane had been extended to 2025 after days of uncertainty.
The day after reports that Mbabane had reached an agreement with Spanish giants Real Madrid, reports came out that PSG had made a huge offer to the player. Mbabane said he had decided last week to stay at PSG but had kept the matter a secret from the club’s instructions. Mbabane said he had respect for Florentino Perez and Real Madrid, adding that he had called him directly and informed him.
