Sports Federation with training to raise child stars

Dubai: The UAE Sports Federation has launched a training program to develop players in schools in the UAE. The scheme is beneficial to the citizens and non-residents of Imarat. It includes eight sports. Training is in Judo, Shooting, Fencing, Athletics, Archery, Swimming, Taekwondo and Badminton.

Training is under the best coaches. Training for various sports has started. The training will be in collaboration with various sports federations and the Emirates School Establishment. The training is divided into two sports.

The first group includes judo, shooting, fencing, athletics and archery. This group will be more important. The second group includes Taekwondo, Swimming and Badminton. All children will have equal opportunities.

The training is given in conjunction with the school games held in the UAE. There are competitions between different emirates and between schools. These competitions will start in May. The training centers will operate for three months.

Sheikh Suhail Bin Muthi Al Maktoum, Secretary General of the Sports Federation said that the goal is to increase the number of participants in the Olympics by raising the stars among the children. He added that this will help in developing sports culture and increase competitiveness.
