Sports Section of Indian Social Club Oman Kerala Section Hosts Chess and Carrom Competitions with Over 60 Participants

Muscat > More than 60 people, including children and adults, participated in the chess and carrom competitions organized by the Sports Section of the Indian Social Club Oman Kerala Section. The competitions were held in the Junior Senior Open category for the members of the Kerala section. The competitions held at the Kerala Section Office in Ruvi were inaugurated and the chess competition was moderated by Jijo Joy, a well-known candidate master from Oman who has participated and won more than 50 international competitions. In the chess competitions, David CB Kurishingal won the first position in the junior category, Adam CB Kurishingal won the second position, Nihal Sujeesh won the third position, Malvika Priyesh won the first position in the senior category and Navjot Sajith Kumar won the second position. Priyesh VS won first position and Manoj KT second position in open category. Adidev Dinesh won the first position in junior category in carrom competitions. Srinid Sunil and Sachet Vijayan shared the second and third positions. In the senior category, Srinand Sunil won the first position while Navjot Sajith Kumar secured the second position. Sumesh bagged the first position in the open category. Sunith T won the second position and Binu PV the third position. Sumesh – Nishant team won first place and Sunith – Riyaz team won second place in carrom doubles. Prizes to the winners will be distributed on the evening of September 8 during the Onam celebration program at Ruvi Alfalaj Hall, officials said. Read on deshabhimani.com
