St. Peter’s Cathedral Festival and VBS: Celebrating the Patron Saint and Vacation Bible School

PHILADELPHIA: Saint Peter’s Cathedral, the church of the American archdiocese, will celebrate the feast of the patron saint of the parish and Sunday school children’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) tomorrow. The festival is from tomorrow to the second day of next month. VBS is also arranged for tomorrow and the day following.

The festival started last Sunday. On the 1st of next month, services will be held at the church at 6 pm and Fr. Dr. A. P. There will also be a sermon led by George. Then Rasa, Chendamelam, Christian music singing, fireworks and love feast have been arranged, the officials said. Services will begin at 8.30 am on July 2. Then American Knanaya Bhadrasana Metropolitan Dr. Ayub Mar Silvanios presided over by Fr. Dr. A. P. George, Fr. V. in collaboration with Arun Geeverugees. Mass will also be celebrated at three o’clock. After that, the high school and college level winners of the year will be felicitated. On that day, the festival will be concluded with flag hoisting.

Scheduled for tomorrow and the day following, VBS will be held by Cathedral Sunday School teachers and youth league workers. This year’s VBS theme is ‘Connected in Christ’. VBS is organized for children from four years to class 10 on Thursdays from 9 am to 3.30 pm and on Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm.
