Standard Club Receives Positive Licensing Commission Feedback for Next Season

The licensing commission finishes studying the club files, at the end of March, for the granting of the precious sesame for next season. During the month of April, in the week of the 15th, it will officially issue the list of clubs which have obtained their license and that of the “failed”. In recent years, Standard has had to return for the second session, to meet the demands of the League’s financial policeman, to the point of being subject to monthly control, with the risk of transfer bans.

For next season, it seems that the horizon is already clear, and this is a small victory for the local management, since the first feedback from the commission’s inspection is positive. The Standard, despite serious financial difficulties (a loss of more than €20 million at the last accounting), will obtain its license. This means that 777 Partners, the American shareholder, was able to produce the necessary guarantees to ensure the continuity of the club. Doubts surrounded the action of Josh Wander’s company, but it seems that the commission was sufficiently reassured to allow Standard to be at ease for next season.
