As we meet him, Obi-Wan is definitely at a low point in his life. Set a few years after the events of Revenge Of The Siththe show has him a hunted man, hiding out on Tatooine in the wake of Anakin’s betrayal and the slaughter of the Jedi by his former pupil and Emperor Palpatine.
Scored impressively to John Williams‘ Duel Of The Fatesthere’s a lot of talk about hunting down Jedi and the presence of the main antagonist, Reva, played by The Queen’s Gambit‘s Moses Ingram, who is an ambitious Inquisitor dedicated to tracking down the scattered remains of her Emperor’s enemies.
Obi-Wan, meanwhile, is trying to keep the lowest of profiles on the desert planet, using low-fi transportation and checking in on a young Luke Skywalker.
The trailer itself is a lot of fun, feeling both epic and intimate and… is that Han Solo’s blaster in one shot?
