Starry evenings on September 5 and 23 at La Malbaie

2023-09-05 19:13:00

A starry sky observation evening will take place this evening at 9 p.m. at Parc du Havre, in La Malbaie. Another evening is planned, same place, same time, on September 23rd.

“You will have the opportunity to learn how to spot the main constellations visible in the summer and to observe star clusters, planetary nebulae and double stars using telescopes”, can we read on the site website of the City of La Malbaie.

Observing the starry sky requires clear skies. If the sky is overcast or it rains, the activity will be cancelled.

The City also warns that although it is hot during the day, the temperature drops rapidly following sunset. She advises to dress warmly for these evenings of observation and to bring your binoculars.

This family activity is organized jointly by the City of La Malbaie and the Club d’astronomie de Charlevoix.
