I wrote – Manal Al-Masry:

Banks are close to starting to apply commissions on cash withdrawals from ATMs for non-customers at the beginning of next month, with the end of the Central Bank’s initiative nearing the end and in the absence of new instructions to extend it.

For more than two years (27 months in particular), banks continued to stop collecting cash withdrawal commission from ATMs on customers of other banks that are not affiliated with them, in response to the Central Bank’s instructions issued since March 2020 with the start of the spread of the Corona virus pandemic and continuing until the end of June 2022 to support customers.

Each bank sets the cash withdrawal commission for customers in the event of using an ATM machine belonging to a bank other than the one it deals with.

After responding to the Central Bank’s instructions to stop collecting cash withdrawal commissions, the banks resorted to applying fees to inquire about the balance from the machine in the event of a paper receipt request, in an attempt to cover part of the costs of operating the machines from maintenance and shipping rolls of paper, inks, etc.

Masrawy provides details of the commissions expected to return after the end of this month in the 10 most prevalent banks in Egypt:
