The President of the Council of Ministers, Pedro Anguloassured this Wednesday that the curfew in the country will only be situational and in specific situations in the middle of the State of Emergency.
“The curfew is going to be situational. It is limited where necessary. If we see an airport that is definitively taken over there, that measure will be taken and to recover it,” he said in statements to The Night Air Rotary from RPP News.
Pedro Angulo He also denied that social gatherings will not be affected as was speculated among the population before the announcement of the State of emergency .
“I know that there are some people who have not understood that they will not be able to meet or their rights are limited. The reality is that no, only if it is absolutely necessary is that that could be limited.”
Angulo maintained that in some areas of the country the measure issued is only preventive and no rights are restricted since there are no acts of violence.
“It is an emergency declaration that, depending on the places, must be understood, which may be to effect the entry of the army in some activity in favor of the population and in other cases simply preventive. For example, in Chimbote, Ancash, it is a preventive declaration because no rights are being restricted there because there has not yet been an outbreak, but we know that unfortunately people are moving from one place to another,” he said.
On the other hand, the prime minister denounced that a drone has been watching his home that apparently monitors his activities with his family. “I’m looking at a drone from here (his house),” he said.
Demonstrations leave eight dead
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that the demonstrations registered in various parts of the country So far, eight people have died and 19 hospitalized. They also added that 152 medical discharges have been arranged.
The protests have been registered in the regions of Apurímac, Huancavelica, Arequipa and La Libertad, as well as in the city of Lima, through its official Twitter account. In addition, it indicates that the Minsa mobilized 53 health professionals and 13 ambulances.
On the other hand, so far there are 71 people detained for their alleged participation in the protests that took place in Lima, Apurimac, Arequipa, Ica and La Libertad. The National Police of Peru gave their identification at the same time.
The Minsa reported that the shipment and distribution of medicines, as well as medical oxygen to hospitals in the regions they are at risk. As specified in a statement, the continuous acts of vandalism reported in recent days such as road blockades are the main reason for this problem.
