At some point everything comes to an end: The game publisher and platform operator Valve has officially ended support for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 on the PC platform Steam. Users of these operating systems will no longer receive any further updates and are now required to switch to a more recent version of Windows. Although the Steam client will continue to work on these systems for now, Valve warns that functionality cannot be guaranteed in the future.
