This small defender joined Hai Phong Club and officially returned to the pitch during the trip to SLNA on Vinh Stadium. It was the opening match of V.League 2015 and his team won 3-0. The miraculous return of Nguyen Anh Hung made many people relieved, especially Dinh Dong who caused a serious injury to him. During the time when Nguyen Anh Hung had to lie down, the most tormented and suffering person was still Dinh Dong. In addition to having to pay for hospital fees and medicine for Nguyen Anh Hung, Dinh Dong was also banned from playing for 1 year, and was also cut by the SLNA club.
Breaking his dominant leg back to professional football was difficult, Nguyen Anh Hung even came back strong. In Hai Phong shirt, Nguyen Anh Hung is irreplaceable in the right-back position. In the first season, he and the port team finished in 6th place with 24/26 matches, the 2016 season was the runner-up with only 2 absences. In the last two years, Nguyen Anh Hung has always been trusted by coach Truong Viet Hoang thanks to his smart, speed and efficient play.
