ALGIERS – The Ministry of Industry announced Sunday, in a press release, the creation of the National Strategic Steering Committee for the steel and metallurgical sector, which will be officially installed at the end of the current month.
“As part of monitoring the activities of the steel and metallurgical industries, and following the first meeting of Algerian steel and metallurgists, the Ministry of Industry proceeds at the end of February to the official installation of the National Strategic Steering Committee of the steel and metallurgical sector (CNPSF-steerurgic and metallurgical) with the aim of supervising and promoting the industrial activities of this sector”, specifies the same source.
This committee represents an “interface between the public authorities, on the one hand, and the economic operators on the other, and will actively contribute, as a source of proposals, to the promotion of the steel and metallurgical industry, to the organization and professionalization of the market and he will have an advisory role with the Minister of Industry”, adds the press release.
To this end, the ministry invited operators active in this sector to send their expressions of interest for membership of this committee, to the email address [email protected], specifying the name of the company and its head office, the products manufactured and the manager and his contact (telephone number and email address).
The companies and undertakings concerned are those which operate in the production of the various iron and steel and metallurgical products (copper products, such as wires, tubes, elbows and nails, aluminum products, such as windows, radiators, curtains, chairs, stairs and packaging metal, steel products, such as reinforcing bars, flat steel, garbage bins, framework, wheel rims, brake discs and hardware items, stainless steel products, such as collective equipment, cisterns and tanks, stair railings, sinks , faucets and doors and kitchen utensils, explains the ministry.
Official invitations will be sent to the participants after the identification of the company, for the participation in the official installation of the CNPSF-steel and metallurgy, which will take place at the end of February, the press release concludes.
