The Venezuelan Football Federation has made enormous efforts in recent months so that young talents living abroad can connect and join the national team from their youth categories.

This is the case of Nicola Profeta, a player born in Anzoátegui to an Italian father and who, during the U-17 South American Championship, was captain of the Colombian national team, the country where he lives and where he defends the colors of Deportivo Cali.

The FVF, following several conversations with the seventeen-year-old midfielder, managed to convince him to join the red wine project for the U-17 World Cup to be played in Indonesia.

Profeta has joined the modules of the Under-17 team at the National High Performance Center on the island of Margarita and, later, will attend the special concentration that will take place on Argentine soil.

La Vinotinto will play the U-17 World Cup from November 10 on Asian lands and will know their rivals in the group stage in the coming months. Currently, it is in pot 4 for the draw of the contest.
