SK Deinze won heavily on the Patro Eisden pitch, in the semi-final first leg of the promotion play-off to the Challenger Pro League. We almost already know the first finalist.
The sixth in the classic phase of the Challenger Pro League, Patro Eisden de Stijn Stijnen, hosted the third, SK Deinze, in the semi-final first leg of the promotion play-off.
At kick-off, the match is expected to be tight and narrow. It won’t happen. Even if, in the first half, the two teams were more or less equal.
It was just before returning to the locker room that Gonzalo Almenara broke the deadlock (0-1, 42nd), and began Deinze’s big victory. Because, in the second half, the match will only go one way.
SK Deinze takes a big option in the final of the promotion play-offs
Emilio Kehrer scored 0-2 (53rd), Lennart Mertens increased the score from the penalty spot (62nd) and Kehrer, again, sealed the final score at the end of the match (78th).
Large victory for SK Deinze, which therefore takes a huge option on the first place as finalist in the promotion play-off to the Challenger Pro League. The other first leg, between Zulte-Waregem and Lommel, will take place this Saturday at 8:00 p.m. The return matches are scheduled for May 1.
