Still to be polished, the magic parkour game “Forspoken” announced to be postponed to October | 4Gamers

The new IP work “Forspoken” produced by Luminous Productions, a studio owned by Square Enix, was announced today (8), and the release date was postponed from the original May 24, 2022 to October 11, nearly five months. The reason given by the production team is that they hope to polish the game better.

“Forspoken” describes the protagonist “Frey Holland” living in New York who was involved in a mysterious phenomenon one day, and then was transported to the beautiful and cruel other world “Asia”. And around her arm is a self-aware magical armband “Acuff”. With the help of Asha, Frey begins to find a way to return to her hometown, embarking on a journey across the vastness of Asia.

At the same time, “Forspoken” uses Square Enix’s own engine “Luminous Engine”, which is also the same engine as “Fianl Fantasy XV” which has not yet been launched, and this engine also represents the technical strength of Square Enix.

“Forspoken” is expected to be released on PS5 and PC, and there will be a two-year limited-time console exclusive on PS5.
