On the other hand, the share of Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:) increased by 1.68%, or 0.81 points, and closed at a price of 48.99, while the share of Boeing Co (NYSE:) added 1.46%, or 2.58 points, to 179.08 at the close of the session.
As for the worst performer at the end of the day’s trading, Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:) closed down by 0.51%, or 1.84 points, and traded at 358.08 at the close. American Express Company (NYSE:) declined 0.42% or 0.65 points to end at 154.12 and Dow Inc (NYSE:) closed down 0.28% or 0.14 points to 50.56.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was recorded by a stock SVB Financial Gro (NASDAQ:), which rose by 6.89% at 222.64, NVIDIA Group (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 6.51% and closed at 171.69 levels, as well as Ceridian HCM Holding Inc (NYSE:) It rose by 5.05% and ended its trading at a price of 65.83.
Among the underperforming stocks today, we mention Lincoln National Corp. (NYSE:), which fell by 10.86%, and closed its session at a price of 31.45, per share. Avery Dennison Corp (NYSE:), which lost 6.54% at 179.22, and Aptiv PLC (NYSE:), which weakened by 4.47% and closed at 93.42 today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by Farfire BV (NASDAQ:) stock, which rose by 356.57%, at a price of 11.46, Rent the Runway Inc (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 74.26% and closed at 2.37 levels, as well as Qutoutiao Inc (NASDAQ:) rose to 57.62% and ended its trading at a price of 0.84.
Among the stocks with the weakest performance today, we mention the stock of Eiger Biopharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 69.53%, and closed its session at a price of 1.17, per share. Relmada Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which lost 47.84% at a price of 2.17, and Design Therapeutics (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 33.33% and closed at a price of 8.46 today’s session on the stock exchange.
The number of gainers exceeded the number of shares that closed lower in trading on the New York Stock Exchange with 1728 compared to 1347, while 121 remained unchanged.
