Among the leading stocks today was Intel Group (NASDAQ:), whose value rose 1.95%, or 0.92 points, and its price reached 48.00 at the close. On the other hand, Amgen (NASDAQ:) shares continued to rise at 1.73%, or 4.83 points, and closed at 284.16, while Merck & Co. (NYSE:) shares increased by 1.23%, or 1.31 points, to 107.70 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performance at the end of today’s trading, Nike Inc. (NYSE:) stock closed down 11.83%, or 14.49 points, and traded at 108.04 at the close. Walt Disney Company (NYSE:) shares declined by 1.09%, or 1.00 points, at a price of 91.02, while Boeing Co (NYSE::) shares closed down by 0.60%, or 1.58 points, at 260.44.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was recorded by ANSYS (NASDAQ:), which rose by 18.08% at 357.98. Moderna Biotechnology (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 4.09% and closed at 94.89. And Albemarle Corp (NYSE:) shares rose about 3.20% and ended its trading at 150.10.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Nike Inc (NYSE:), which fell by 11.83% and closed its session at 108.04, Synopsys Inc (NASDAQ:), which lost 6.34% at 524.46, and VF Corp (NYSE: :), which weakened by 3.23% and closed at 18.59 today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by Nextplay Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose by 201.66% at a price of 2.73. Jin Medical International Ltd (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 97.23% and closed at levels 139.01, and Daseke Inc (NASDAQ:) stock rose by 64.97% and ended its trading at 8.10.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention the stock of Alluvial Corporation (NASDAQ:), which fell by 67.15% and closed its session at a price of 0.77, the stock of Jayud Global Logistics Ltd (NASDAQ:), which lost 53.96% at a price of 1.28, and the stock of Brilliant Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 43.95% and closed at 4.70 today’s session on the stock exchange.
The number of stocks that gained more than the number of stocks that closed on a decline in trading on the New York Stock Exchange, with 1915 compared to 943, while 96 remained unchanged.
