Vienna (OTS) – The Socialist Youth Vorarlberg and ‘der Funke’ invite you to a joint event entitled ‘What can communists do to liberate Palestine?’, which can only be understood as denying Israel’s right to exist and showing sympathies with a terrorist organization . The general secretary of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker, demands an unequivocal reaction from the SPÖ party leader: “Why is Andreas Babler silent about the anti-Israel slogans in his youth organization, which can obviously also be seen as terrorist sympathies? Andreas Babler’s silence on SPÖ scandals is no longer surprising. With the dubious SPÖ property deals in Vienna, Austrians have been waiting for weeks for the promised consequences of the SPÖ federal party chairman. But with regard to the attacks against Israel by his youth organization in Vorarlberg and Vienna-Alsergrund, silence can only be understood as consent.”

“Israel’s security is non-negotiable. And the people of our country rightly expect all political parties to make a completely unequivocal commitment to this. “We finally need a clear personal positioning from Andreas Babler, because neither anti-Israel slogans nor terrorist sympathies or communism have any place in a democratic party,” said Stocker.
