Stop Microsoft services.. “Teams” and “Outlook”

Microsoft said on Wednesday it was investigating a networking issue that affected multiple services including the Teams and Outlook apps, following reports spread of thousands of users outages globally. Downdetector showed more than 3,900 cases in India and more than 900 in Japan were affected by outages from some Microsoft services. Reports of crashes also rose in Australia, Britain and the United Arab Emirates.

Downdetector tracks outages by compiling status reports from sources including user-submitted errors on its platform, according to Archyde.com.

“We’ve identified a potential network issue and are reviewing telemetry to determine next troubleshooting steps,” Microsoft said in a tweet.

During the outage, most users were unable to exchange messages, join calls, or use any of the Teams features. Relied upon by more than 280 million people worldwide, Microsoft Teams is an integral part of the daily operations of businesses and schools, which use the service to place calls, schedule meetings and streamline their workflow.

Other affected services include Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business, according to the company’s status page.
