The Depositors Association called on the Lebanese people to “take part in a blatant stand under the slogan “Stop oppressing Lebanon’s depositors”, on Tuesday 5-9-2023 at ten in the morning in front of the Beirut Municipality.
The association pointed out that our country is living in a difficult economic and financial situation, and Lebanese depositors have suffered from a significant deterioration in the banking and financial sector, as many have had to bear great losses as a result of wrong policies and rampant corruption in the country, calling on the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to protect the rights of depositors. And find radical solutions to the current crisis, and we call on everyone to stand with us in this just and legitimate cause.
She pointed out that, “We hope that all Lebanese citizens who care regarding the fate of their country will attend this important stand and express their rejection of the injustice to which depositors have been subjected, and to demand their rights.”
