All over France, toy, ready-to-wear or leather goods stores, booksellers and hairdressers reopened on Saturday, relieved, and the government has decided to increase aid for companies forced to remain closed.
As Christmas approaches, many French people wanted to take advantage of this reduction in measures to do their shopping. The result: endless lines were observed in some shopping centers. This was particularly the case in Lille, as noted by La Voix du Nord. In front of some stores, the waiting time was several hours.
In Belgium, “non-essential” stores will reopen their doors on Tuesday. But the authorities have already warned: unthinkable to see hundreds of people gathered in front of the shops.
“The month of December is very busy in our shopping streets, and risky situations must be avoided. It is a collective responsibility. Each must assume its role. The traders and the local authorities are working hard to guarantee the our purchases are going well. From tomorrow, it will be up to all of us, our customers, to do our part “, said the Crisis Center during its press conference held on November 30. Rules must be observed in order to shop safely.
