A cruise that was supposed to be fun and relaxing suddenly became very worrying for passengers when their ship, the Indépendance of the Seaswas hit by a severe storm last Friday.

Many vacationers were enjoying fine weather on the deck where the swimming pool is located when the weather suddenly changed.
The Royal Caribbean-owned cruise ship was not at sea: it was docked in Port Canaveral, Florida, reports Newsweek.
It was around 4 p.m. that the storm lifted.
The gusts of wind were so violent that they tossed furniture through the air and blew passengers moving around the deck.
A lounge chair even fell on a stroller, in which fortunately there was no child.
The passengers had to rush to find refuge.
The phenomenal scene was filmed by some holidaymakers, including two who posted the footage on TikTok.
Cora Cornett’s videos, in particular, have been viewed more than 14 million times.
“She hit very quickly and was gone within minutes,” the woman captioned her video. “No announcements were made on board before or after the storm.

“Just a fun night leaving Port Canaveral last Friday. No announcement from the captain before or after, or any mention of what happened. You have to act as if nothing had happened, I guess, ”he quipped on his TikTok account.
You can even see a man fall to the ground because the winds are so violent. Some passengers are literally unable to stand up.
A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean Cruise released a brief statement to the media. Daily Hive.
“On Friday, June 16, departing Port Canaveral, Independence of the Seas encountered a sudden gust of high winds. This lasted for a brief period and there were no serious injuries to our guests or crew. Independence of the Seas continued on its regular 3-night itinerary, arriving at CocoCay in the Bahamas on Saturday morning as scheduled.
