storms and wind expected in metro Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia (Telemundo Atlanta) – The National Weather Service has issued a high wind advisory for north Georgia, where a cold front is also expected to bring rain and storms, some of them severe.

According to the forecast, during the course of today, Friday, gusts in metro Atlanta could reach 40 miles per hour.

The northwestern sector of the state would be the most affected by the strong winds, where gusts could exceed 50 miles per hour, indicates the weather agency bulletin.

The National Weather Service said that strong and severe storms are expected in parts of the north and center of the state during the afternoon and evening today, especially in the extreme northwest, where the risk was raised to 3 on the scale of 5.

Temperatures will remain in the 70s today and in the 40s overnight.

For Saturday and Sunday temperatures close to 70 are expected, with sunny weather.
