The journey of Dimitri Bontinck (47) to Syria, in search of his son Jejoen (25), who was with the Islamic State (IS), is being filmed. The Italian firm Ralian bought the rights to the project and hopes to start shooting the film or series about father and son in 2022. “It’s a big contract. But it is also an extraordinary story of fatherly love and part of a historical drama ”, the Italians say.
