Strategic Problem: German Wind Turbine Leader Threatens France’s Electricity Supply

2023-06-28 03:00:00

This announcement by one of the German world leaders in wind turbines poses a strategic problem for France, which has been setting up this type of machine on the territory for more than 10 years.

This is not only regarding the future and the security of the onshore wind farms concerned, but also regarding France’s entire electricity supply.

Today 1,139 turbines of this brand are present in the territory, grouped into 153 onshore wind farms with a total power of 1,139MW, which would represent 14% of the total installed wind power (24,200 MW) 2

The Sustainable Environment Federation is once once more asking the government to no longer suffer through Brussels the unrealistic objectives of the Renewable Energy plans imposed by Germany and incompatible with the energy future of our country 3
