Happier Than Ever – A love letter to Los Angeles
It’s easy to get jealous when you see the success that pop sensation Billie Eillish has already had at the age of 19. Several successful albums, Grammys, a theme song for the last “James Bond” movie with Daniel Craig On behalf of “No Time to Die“, a documentary at Apple TV+ and now also a concert film Disney+. Since September 3rd you canHappier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles” at the Streaming service From Maushaus streamen.
They splash out and present an intimate performance of all the songs in album order on the stage of the legendary Hollywood Bowl and, on top of that, they have been able to enlist the services of Robert Rodriguez and Oscar winner Patrick Osborne for the staging. On top of that, alongside the musical performance by Eilish, whose “Bad Guy“ was omnipresent in films and series, as well as some animated sequences that ennoble the young musician to the status of a Disney princess. It takes them to some well-known places in the west coast metropolis. Brother and co-songwriter Finneas, but also the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, the Orchestra of the Los Angeles Philharmonic under conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the world-famous Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo and orchestral arrangements by David Campbell can also be heard.
Of course you could also just listen to the said album, but the design of the concert has something very special and compensates all fans who haven’t been able to see Eilish live lately because of the pandemic. Because of their popularity, it might also be difficult to get tickets for the future tour. Then maybe prefer the subscription price of Disney+ use it and take a look…

This song in the series High Maintenance was, by the way, my first musical contact with her. Since then, I’ve been following her release with great pleasure. The documentary shows how, despite sudden fame and a solid family connection, Billie has remained very down to earth – albeit with some issues that come with celebrity, constant scrutiny, fan passion and media attention . Otherwise you can see a best-of of the hits at various performances as well as ups and downs of Eilish’s young career, who once intentionally presented herself in a baggy look until she came of age so that one could concentrate on her music output and not her looks.
