The comings and goings in stores and shopping streets will continue to increase during this end-of-year period. The police in the Vesdre area have therefore strengthened their presence on the ground over the past week during this busy period.
“We would like to further strengthen the feeling of security in the municipalities of Dison, Pepinster and Verviers during this period,” underlines the area. This presence will be reinforced until the end of the sales period, indicates the police.
“The various services of the VESDRE Police Zone are called upon to direct additional personnel within the framework of proximity patrols focused on prevention and security within businesses in the zonal territory,” the press release continues. Police officers on foot, with their dogs or in plain clothes will lead these rounds.
“These patrols have already borne fruit, notably with the interception of 3 individuals in flagrante delicto following shoplifting in one of the businesses in the area,” informs the acting director of operations.
