Their destructive process is greatly slowed down

In heart failure, the heart cannot pump blood properly. The condition occurs when fibrous tissue accumulates in the heart muscle and the heart enlarges. But in the human body there is resistance to such a process. Scientists from Kitasato University in Japan spoke regarding it. They were cited by the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.

As cardiologists have found, a strong quadriceps muscle can slow down the proliferation of fibrous tissue through the synthesis of special proteins. It is not difficult to identify a person with a developed quadriceps muscle – he has strong, large thighs.

More than a thousand people took part in the study. Experts found that every 5% increase in quadriceps strength reduced the risk of heart failure by 11%.

Previously, we named an external sign in men that indicates early death.
