Civil servants who drop out due to stress-related disorders also often relapse in subsequent years. This is evident from new figures from Medex, the service that, among other things, collects information regarding absence due to illness in the federal government. From 2023, Minister of Civil Service Petra De Sutter (Green) will allocate an extra million euros every year for a better policy on mental well-being at work.
