In France, journalists of the Sunday newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche have called off their 40-day strike. The strike was protesting the decision to hire a far-right editor at a left-leaning newspaper. The newspaper did not come out for six weeks. In June, staff at the media outlet began protesting once morest the decision to hire Joffrey Lugen, editor of Valorous Actualus, a magazine marked by racism and far-right views.
