Friday and Saturday, the singer Stromae was at the Cinquantenaire in Brussels for the shooting of his next clip. The perimeter surrounding the set was completely barricaded to avoid prying eyes. The premises were protected by barriers covered with tarpaulins, in order to keep the project secret.
But all these measures did not prevent the fans and the inhabitants of the district from trying to see the artist in the middle of filming in the park. The police officers present called to order those who came too close to the perimeter.

Many extras and dancers were present during the two days. The latter were selected during the casting which took place on January 11 and 12 in the capital. Catherine, 73, was lucky enough to be selected. Stromae had created the event in the television news of the French channel TF1 by unveiling “L’enfer”, the new title of his future album which evokes “suicidal thoughts”, while the artist recovered from a burn -out in recent years. “As a result, I sometimes had suicidal thoughts/I’m not very proud of them/Sometimes we think it’s the only way to silence them/These thoughts that make me live through hell”, we hear in this piece with strong autobiographical overtones.
The song was posted on music platforms immediately after. Stromae’s new album, “Multitude”, will be released on March 4 and is one of the most anticipated French-language records of 2022.
Stromae, removed from the musical circuit since 2015, had already unveiled a first single, “Santé”, in mid-October, dedicated to small hands, daily workers to whom we do not always pay attention. This time, “Hell” is a bit darker and more personal. Like an echo of his past torments.
