A man died Saturday after being found trapped under a tree in Saint-Marc-des-Carrières, in the Capitale-Nationale.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) received a call around 3:30 p.m. concerning a person trapped under a tree in a woodlot located on Perreault Avenue.
The victim, a man in his sixties, was first transported to a hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the hospital a few hours later.
“According to the first information collected, there was tree cutting work on the scene. It is not a work accident,” said SQ spokesperson Hélène St-Pierre.
An investigator and forensic identification technicians were dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene and understand the causes and circumstances of this event.
