Ajman 12-year-old girl dies in Ajman school bus crash The accident happened at around 3.45pm on Tuesday in Al Hamidia, Ajman. Sheikh Hassan, an Arab national, was killed. Umm Amar is a student at the school. The cause of the accident was that the bus went ahead without paying attention to the student who got off the bus near the house following school. There was no supervisor on the bus at that time.
Lt. Col. Saif Abdullah al-Falasi, head of the Ajman Patrol Department, said the boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died later. The bus driver is an Asian national. The driver has been arrested and an investigation is underway. Al-Falasi reminded school bus drivers to drive with extreme caution to get students home safely. Minister of State for Public Education Jameela Al Muhairi said she had visited the child’s family and expressed her condolences. Ajman police also visited the boy’s family and expressed their condolences.
