“You have no interest in astronomy, physics, or science. That bothers me. Thomas told me all that while crying,” the thesis student told the authorities.
In his statement to the Chilean authorities, the British student who is a key witness in the case of the missing astronomerat the La Silla Observatory, stated that the specialist said “something super strange” the last day you saw him.
According to T13the thesis student indicated that he spent almost the entire September 15 with Thomas Marsh.
“We had breakfast, lunch and dinner, we also worked on the NTT telescope,” he said.
“I remember that Thursday at approximately 7:00 p.m., after dinner, we went to our bedrooms where Thomas told me something super strange, telling me out loud: ‘I’m not happy with what you do’”added the student.
“You have no interest in astronomy, physics, or science. That annoys me”he complemented.
“Thomas told me all that crying, locking himself in his bedroom. Faced with such a situation, I was terribly surprised”, commented the thesis student, who does not agree with the position of the disappeared astronomer.
In his opinion, his field of study is very important to him and that his life and passion are “astronomy, physics and science”.
“I went to the casino since I don’t have WiFi in my room to call a friend from my country and tell him what the teacher told me, to let off steam,” said the student, according to the statement obtained by T13.
According to University of Warwickthe missing astronomer is the founder of the astronomy and astrophysics group at this campus in the center of England, in Coventry.
