Through the initiative of First Lady Gabriela de Bukele, the innovative Quality Improvement and Educational Coverage program: Born, Grow, Learn, the Directorate of Municipal Works (DOM) began the total reconstruction of a new school center in the El Pezote canton, El Congo district, municipality of Santa Ana Este.
With this work, more than 260 students will benefit. It should be noted that, through a loan agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), which exceeds $63 million dollars, the DOM will rebuild 60 school centers in different areas of the country, which will be first-level study centers. .
In El Pezote, students from kindergarten to ninth grade from this canton as well as from the surrounding El Rodeo and El Tintral, in the district of El Congo, will benefit. The DOM crews began with the total demolition of the existing infrastructure, including walls, perimeter walls, to make way for the construction of two modern two-story buildings for 9 classrooms, including two for kindergarten.
