Studio Bethesda Softworks honored the memory of one of the fans of Starfield, who did not live to see the release of the game. An Easter egg with a reference was discovered by players while playing through an RPG. User Alex Hay posted a post on the Starfield subreddit in March 2023. The 35-year-old gamer said that he would most likely not be able to play the new Bethesda game due to lung cancer – before that, he stopped treatment, as it did not give results. The player died a few weeks after the post was published. The gamer’s message touched many fans who asked Bethesda to let Hay play an early build or add a mention of him to the game. As it turned out, the developers still honored the memory of the deceased fan – a note on his behalf can be found in Starfield. “To my friends and other researchers. I am always with you among the stars, ”the entry reads. The full release of Starfield is scheduled for September 6th. Previously, the Bethesda Softworks studio presented a collaboration with the popular American band Imagine Dragons, timed to coincide with the release of Starfield. A track titled Children of the Sky, accompanied by footage from the game, has been posted on YouTube.
