Graz – The turning point has not materialized. Sturm Graz lost to Dynamo Kyiv in the third qualifying round of the Champions League on Tuesday. Despite a strong performance, coach Christian Ilzer’s team lost 2-1 (1-0, 1-0) after extra time against the Ukrainians in front of 14,000 fans in the Graz Merkur Arena. Coach Mircea Lucescu’s team won the first leg 1-0, and Kyiv advanced with a total score of 3-1. For Sturm it is now in the Europa League.
