STVV failed to collect three points against Eupen. They seemed on their way to victory, but conceded a goal late in the match while the Pandas were not dangerous.
STVV is one of the revelations of the competition this season, and this was confirmed against Eupen. The visitors had announced their intention to defend against the Limburgers and kept their promise. The Pandas formed a double wall against the Canaries, but this wall did not prevent a goal for STVV.
After a cross from Hashioka, the ball was deflected into the goal by Eupen defender Paeshuyse, allowing STVV to take the lead after twenty minutes of play. Eupen was not at all up to the task and n created virtually nothing in terms of dangerous opportunities.
The second half did not bring any change in the pattern of play, but rather more of the same. Possession of the ball for STVV, as well as the (rare) chances. Finally, another goal was scored. Not by STVV, but by Eupen. At the very end of the match, the score was finally 1-1 with Pantovic scoring against the run of play.
