Graz – The Styrian Governor Christopher Drexler (ÖVP) is calling for stricter rules for naturalization. The option of obtaining citizenship after just six years instead of ten years should be eliminated again. A spokesman for Drexler confirmed corresponding media reports on Sunday in response to an APA request. The state governor also commented in the Ö1 “Abendjournal”. The shortened deadlines should be “reconsidered”. According to the state governor, it is not acceptable to “import” anti-Semitism, misogyny and homophobia.
