Abu Dhabi, 7 October / WAM / His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Member of the National Elections Committee, and Head of the Secretariat of the National Elections Committee, confirmed that the UAE is moving forward with confident steps to enhance the culture of political participation among all members of society, by launching ambitious programs and initiatives. Success included active participation in the Federal National Council elections.
Lootah said, in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the successful parliamentary experience in the UAE translates the visions and directives of the wise leadership and its keenness to advance parliamentary work, in a way that achieves the interest of the nation and the citizen, and consolidates the prosperity and status of the UAE.
He stressed that the National Elections Commission worked to employ all resources and capabilities to facilitate and make the fifth electoral cycle successful, and to achieve the highest standards of accuracy and fluidity in the electoral process, enabling voters to cast their votes with ease and as quickly as possible.
His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah pointed out that the active participation of the people of the country in the 2023 Federal National Council elections leaves a clear imprint on the process of strengthening parliamentary work in the UAE, and contributes to the efforts to strengthen the Council’s position as a supporting and guiding authority for the executive authority, and consolidating its role in introducing the state’s vision and defending its interests. The voting process began this morning, Saturday, October 7, on the main day of the 2023 Federal National Council elections, through remote voting from inside and outside the country and electronic voting in 24 electoral centers distributed throughout all the emirates of the country.
The voter is also allowed to cast his vote at any election center, whether in the emirate to which he belongs or in any other emirate.
The official announcement of the preliminary results of the 2023 Federal National Council elections will take place at the main election center in the Abu Dhabi Energy Center after the full voting process is completed today.
