Sudan Army: “Rapid Support” is mobilizing its forces without our consent

The armed forces in Sudan have warned of movements by the Rapid Support Forces to “mobilize forces and open up inside the capital and some cities,” without the army’s approval or coordination with it.

A video statement broadcast by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on its YouTube page, early Thursday morning, said that the country “is going through a historic and dangerous juncture. Its risks are increased by the Rapid Support Forces leadership mobilizing forces and opening up inside the capital and some cities.”

The statement issued by the General Command of the Armed Forces stated: “The armed forces, constitutionally and legally, are responsible for preserving and preserving the security and safety of the country, with the assistance of the various state agencies, and the laws have regulated how to provide this aid, and accordingly we must sound the alarm.”

The Rapid Support Forces said in a statement earlier that it was deployed throughout the country “within the framework of its normal duties.”

The armed forces considered that “the movements and openings (which they attributed to the Rapid Support Forces) took place without the consent of the Armed Forces Command or mere coordination with it, which sparked panic and fear among citizens, exacerbated security risks, and increased tension between the regular forces.”

And the statement continued: “Our esteemed citizens. The attempts of the armed forces to find peaceful solutions to these transgressions have not ceased, in order to preserve public tranquility and not desire an armed conflict that destroys everything and everything, because these openings and the repositioning of forces contradict the tasks and work system of the Rapid Support Forces, and in it A clear transgression of the law and a violation of the directives of the central and state security committees, and its continuation will inevitably lead to more divisions and tensions that may lead to the breakdown of the security contract in the country.

He concluded: “The armed forces renew their adherence to what was agreed upon in support of the political transition in accordance with what was done in the framework agreement, and warn the political forces of the dangers of outbidding the positions of the national armed forces, which did not stingy to achieve it by offering cheap lives and lives so that Sudan could enjoy security and stability. Long live the Sudanese people free. Abia, long live our armed forces as a shield and fortress for the homeland.
