Hyderabad: IPL club Sunrisers Hyderabad and its head coach West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara have parted ways. New Zealand legend Daniel Vettori will replace Lara as coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team itself informed about this through social media.
Sunrisers had a poor performance in the IPL last season under Lara. The team finished in last place. The team lost 10 matches with only four wins. Lara replaced Tom Moody as the head coach of Sunrisers ahead of the 2023 IPL.
Vettori has coached IPL teams before. The actor was the coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2014 to 2018. Recently, he worked as an assistant coach of the Australian cricket team.
