In Libreville, the male staff of Sunu Assurances companies in Gabon were educated on November 26 on prostate cancer and the importance of early detection through an awareness session organized by the company.

As part of the Blue November campaign, dedicated to the fight against male cancers, the Sunu assurances companies in Gabon organized, on November 23, 2023 in Libreville, an awareness session for their employees. In the presence of the Minister of Health, Professor Adrien Mougougou, and the general management of Sunu, this awareness session had the main objective of informing employees about the importance of early detection.
This 4th edition of Blue November was placed under the theme “against cancer, I am committed to a healthy life“. Opportunity for Dr. Ghislain Mbadinga Nzamba, urologist, to raise staff awareness of the risk factors for prostate cancer while communicating to them the good habits to adopt for a healthier life. As with Pink October dedicated to the fight against female cancers, Sunu insurance is, through these two actions, maintaining its social commitment towards its employees for the 3rd consecutive year.
During the meeting, employees were able to benefit from free screening in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health in Gabon. The initiative marks the brand’s support for all public health measures taken to eradicate cancer in Gabon. Because prostate cancer is very common among men over 50 in the country. It can be treated when detected in time.
