Servette finally managed to get rid of Grasshopper (3-1). At La Praille, the Garnets passed the shoulder in the 80th minute thanks to their jewel Miroslav Stevanovic following having dominated the entire meeting with a head and shoulders. Boubacar Fofana sealed the score in the 96th.
This outcome is more than deserved for Alain Geiger’s players, who might have won more clearly. The Garnet have indeed missed a host of opportunities, especially in the 1st period. They also found a way to make an incredible autogoal by Severin (20th). But they ended up equalizing thanks to a header from Antunes, served by Rodelin (44th).

It was Stevanovic who gave the three points to the Genevans in the 79th minute. Fofana scored the safety goal in the 96th. GC, otherwise quite minimalist, was reduced to ten following the expulsion of Loosli (84th). This obviously weighed down the visitors’ hopes of going for a point that would have looked like a hold-up.
