Super League: St. Gallen extend Peter Zeidler until 2027 – rts.ch

FC St. Gallen and coach Peter Zeidler continue to plan together for the long term. Both parties prematurely extended the contract for another 2 years, i.e. until the summer of 2027.

Zeidler is currently in his 5th season with the Brodeurs. In 2019/20, he nearly led the Eastern Swiss side to their 1st league title in 20 years (they eventually finished in 2nd place). In 2021 and 2022 he led the team to the Cup final.

The 60-year-old German is well on his way to becoming St. Gallen’s record-breaking manager. Willy Sommer coached FCSG between 1975 and 1981 for a total of 174 LNA matches. Zeidler is 160 Super League games away. If the two parties stay together at least until the end of the 2023/24 season, Zeidler will also go down in club history as the longest-serving manager.
