The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) through the Political-Administrative Chamber admitted the precautionary protection introduced by the opposition leader, Daniel Ceballos.
Ceballos was former mayor of San Cristóbal, and the Comptroller’s Office of the Republic issued his disqualification in April 2014, after his dismissal as mayor.
On December 13, 2023, he went to the TSJ to file his appeal. The Political-Administrative Chamber of the TSJ reports on pending decisions on disqualification cases, in order to comply with the provisions of the Barbados Agreement signed between the National Government and the Unitary Platform of the opposition last October.
