The newspaper “L’Equipe” revealed on Tuesday that French star Kylian Mbappe, who won the 2018 World Cup with the French national team, could leave Paris Saint-Germain in 2024 and not in 2025.
Mbappe, 23, signed a new contract with Saint-Germain last May to dash Real Madrid’s hopes of signing him, but he continued to hint that his move to Spain is still a possibility in the future.
Saint-Germain stated that the new contract lasts until 2025, but the French newspaper “L’Equipe” quoted a source in the club that the contract lasts until 2024 and includes a clause that allows for an extension for another year, and Mbappe can refuse it.
